Siren's Keep
Siren’s Keep entices with an intense Old Rose fragrance, sometimes revealing hints of Myrrh. Among its many enchanting qualities is its deep magenta/mauve hue that can present as deep crimson or a blend of these colors, depending on the weather. Blooms are prolific, about 4", and appear in very frequent flushes. The opening bud is cupped; then reflexed when fully open. A bush in full bloom is literally covered with dozens of blooms with the intense fragrance detectable a few feet away. Foliage is a healthy dark green; disease resistance is good. Hardiness has been tested to Zone 6a. With a bit of winter protection Paul thinks Zone 5 may be possible. It forms an upright shrub to about 3 feet wide; height will vary with the climate, but 5’ seems a good average estimate. In warmer climates we think it may be grown as a 6’ pillar to good effect, perhaps even extending to climber height on an arch or fence. This garden siren is definitely a keeper!

Blessed Child
The soft pink shadings of Blessed Child are indeed suggestive of infant loveliness. We are happy to present this rose in celebration of Christmas and the New Year. It is our intention to celebrate babies of all hues and the promise and joy they bring into our lives through the name of this rose. Blessed Child blooms frequently and prolifically and has a lovely fragrance that could remind one of baby powder freshly applied. We have classed it as a Shrub. We think that it is one of those roses that are easily controlled through pruning to stay at a modest height, but which in warmer climates, may grow to five or six feet. It stays to about three feet when planted in a larger pot and is suitable for growing as a patio rose. Foliage is healthy and rebloom prolific and frequent. This is a wonderful rose for a gift, the garden border, a pillar in a warm climate, or a patio pot.

Unconditional Love
Since receiving Unconditional Love into our collection, I am especially impressed with how long the blooms last---about three weeks!--- in excellent condition. What a perfect patio or gift rose. I planned to have several in bloom in our courtyard for the holidays this year before the onslaught of weather hit. A clever person could probably devise a way to keep the blooms fresh in a holiday wreath. This rose would also be perfect in the house for a few days for Valentine's. Unconditional Love is a moderately upright plant, growing about 24" tall and about 18" wide. The 1.5 inch bright red blooms are produced in clusters of three to fifteen and hold their color very well, even in mid-summer. The bloom's form is fully double and often there is a tiny button eye at the center, reminscent of an Old Garden Rose. There is a mild fragrance, mostly from the mossing on the buds. The foliage is healthy, dark, and plentiful. The overall effect is very bold and colorful, either in a mixed bed or as a specimen in a container. 'Unconditional Love' thrives both in the garden and in pots.
